Our origin
The story behind SpakClean
SpakClean Data Consulting & Data Recruiting was founded in 2023, built on years of hands-on work across the full technology and data journey.
The founder did not begin at the top. They started in IT Helpdesk, where they saw how much people depend on systems that simply work. From there, they moved into software engineering, then database administration, database development, data engineering, data architecture, and big data analytics.
That journey produced something many consultants never get: a ground-level and executive-level understanding of how data systems actually affect a business.
They worked with small companies still building their first systems and with large organizations across healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, and banking. Across those environments, the same problem kept surfacing.
Companies were collecting more data than ever, but their systems, processes, and internal teams were struggling to keep up.
Databases were growing. Reports were slowing down. Pipelines were breaking. Dashboards looked good, but the numbers behind them were not always trusted. Internal teams were talented, but often stretched thin. Data environments were growing faster than the experience, structure, and capacity available to manage them.
SpakClean was created to close that gap.

Why we added data recruiting
The same journey that shaped our consulting revealed a second, connected problem: companies did not just need their data systems fixed — they needed the right data people to run them. So SpakClean added data recruiting, focused only on data roles.
Working inside data environments, the founder saw talented internal teams stretched thin — and critical roles that stayed open for months because the right data professional was hard to find and even harder to evaluate.
Too often, companies hired from a stack of resumes screened by people who had never written a query, built a pipeline, or owned a production database. The result was expensive mis-hires and important data work left waiting.
